Tour Overview
The Signature half-day tour visits the same Giza Plateau as our standard half-day pyramids tour, but changes how you move around it. You meet staff at the official Priority Pass booth, use a dedicated lane for security and tickets, and cross the plateau by golf cart. A private Egyptologist guides you, lunch follows, and six levels let you add lounge service, entry into Khufu's pyramid or Old Kingdom tombs.
Tour Highlights
- Skip the general line with meet-and-greet at the official Priority Pass booth and a dedicated lane through security and ticket checks.
- Cross the plateau by golf cart between the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, with an ice box of water, soft drinks and juices.
- Choose the level that fits you, from priority entry alone up to lounge service, a ticket inside the Great Pyramid and tomb visits.
- On the Archaeological level, go into the painted tomb of Queen Meresankh III and the tomb of an Old Kingdom official with your Egyptologist.
- Finish with lunch at a restaurant with a view of the pyramids or the Nile, or a three-course meal at Khufu's Restaurant on the top level.
Tour Route
How is the Signature tour different from the regular half-day pyramids tour?
The sites are the same; the way you see them is not. The regular half-day tour enters through the general gate and moves around on foot and by car. The Signature tour adds the Priority Pass booth, a dedicated lane, a golf cart and drinks, with optional lounge, pyramid and tomb access. Neither includes Saqqara.
What do the six Signature levels include?
All six levels share the hotel pickup, private Egyptologist, plateau entry, golf cart, cold drinks and lunch; each step up adds time and access. Ask us for the price of each level for your group and date, since the table on this page shows the starting rate.
- Priority Pass: meet-and-greet at the official booth, dedicated security and ticket lane, three hours of golf cart and an ice box of drinks.
- Gold Pass: adds private lounge service with light snacks and beverages and official Pyramids of Giza giveaways.
- Express: an easy all-in visit for first-timers with lounge service, drinks and catering, a giveaway and three hours of golf cart.
- Express Plus: adds a ticket inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu and four hours of golf cart.
- Archaeological: Khufu's pyramid plus the tombs of Meresankh III and Idu and Qar or Seshemnefer, with five hours of golf cart.
- Pharaoh's: Khufu's pyramid, five hours of golf cart, giveaways and a three-course lunch at Khufu's Restaurant.
Which Signature level should you choose?
Pick by what you want to do inside, not only by comfort. If seeing the outside well is enough, Priority Pass or Gold Pass covers it. If entering the Great Pyramid matters, start at Express Plus. For painted tombs choose Archaeological, and for the longest visit with a set lunch choose Pharaoh's.
What else can you book around Giza?
The Signature tour finishes by early afternoon, which leaves room for a second experience on the same trip. Some travelers return to the plateau after dark, and others add a museum day to see the objects that the Giza tombs once held.
For a simpler visit, compare the standard half-day Giza Pyramids tour. To see Saqqara too, take the Giza Pyramids and Saqqara day tour, and for an evening on the plateau, book the Giza Sound and Light Show with dinner.
Tour Itinerary
Every level follows the same half-day shape; what changes is how long you keep the golf cart and what extra access you get.
Your private Egyptologist guide and driver collect you from your hotel in an air-conditioned car. Pickup in downtown Cairo and the Giza area is included; other districts carry an extra charge. Tell us your level when you book, since it decides what is arranged at the gate.
At the plateau, staff at the official Priority Pass booth meet you and take you through a separate lane for security and ticket validation, so you skip the general entrance queue. From the Gold Pass level up, lounge service with light snacks and drinks is added.
A golf cart takes you between Khufu's Great Pyramid, Khafre's pyramid and the smaller pyramids of Menkaure and the queens, while your guide explains each one. You keep the cart for three hours on the first three levels, four on Express Plus and five on Archaeological and Pharaoh's.
From Express Plus upward, a ticket into Khufu's pyramid is included. You climb a low passage and then the Grand Gallery to the granite King's Chamber, empty except for a lidless stone sarcophagus. The route is steep, narrow and warm, so skip it if you dislike tight spaces.
The cart brings you down to the Sphinx, carved from the bedrock with a lion's body and a face usually identified as Khafre, with the Dream Stele of Thutmose IV between its paws. Beside it, the granite Valley Temple is where Khafre's funeral rites are thought to have begun.
The Archaeological level adds guided visits to the tomb of Queen Meresankh III, a granddaughter of Khufu, with rare painted reliefs and carved female figures, and to the tomb of Idu and Qar or of Seshemnefer. The Workers' Village and cemetery cost a supplement.
Lunch is at a restaurant with a pyramids or Nile view; on the Pharaoh's level it is a three-course meal with soft drinks at Khufu's Restaurant, facing the pyramids. Then your driver takes you back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.

It starts at your hotel. Your guide and driver collect you from downtown Cairo or the Giza area, drive you to the Priority Pass booth at the plateau, and bring you back after lunch. Hotels elsewhere in Cairo can be added for an extra charge.
Hotel pickup, a private car and Egyptologist, entrance to the plateau, Priority Pass assistance, golf cart use, cold drinks and lunch, plus taxes and service charges. Lounge service, giveaways, the Great Pyramid ticket and tomb visits depend on the level you book. Tips and the Workers' Village supplement are extra.
Yes. The car and the guide are for your group alone. Because they cost the same whether two or eight people travel, the per-person price falls as your group grows, and it changes slightly by season and by the level you choose. Prices start from {price} per person.
Yes, and it is one of the easier ways for them to see Giza, because the golf cart covers the long stretches between monuments. Going inside the Great Pyramid is different: the passage is steep and cramped, so anyone with heart, knee or breathing problems should skip it.
