Prices change a little over Christmas and New Year (20 December to 4 January) and from 5 January to 25 March 2027; each tour page lists all three seasons. Yes, in a day. By plane you fly to Cairo and back with the pyramids and museums in between; by bus it costs much less but is a very long day on the road through Sinai. With a night in Cairo, the two-day trip is far more relaxed.
Yes, by plane. The Luxor day trip covers the temples and tombs of both banks between flights, and the two-day trip adds the pyramids of Cairo with a night there.

The sea is warmest from May to October. For Cairo and Luxor, October to April is more comfortable, as the days inland are much cooler.
