Yes, on the private Luxor day trip, though it is a long day on the road each way. If you can spare a night, the two-day Luxor trip gives you the temples and tombs at an easier pace.
Edfu and Kom Ombo, between Luxor and Aswan. The day trip visits both, with lunch in between, and suits travelers who will not be taking a Nile cruise.

The sea is warmest from May to October. For the Nile Valley and Cairo, October to April is more comfortable, as the days inland are much cooler.
